The MSc Global can be studied in full-time or part-time.
Part-time study has a reduced number of mandatory on-site teaching, which can be spread over a maximum of six semesters. For further information, please refer to the module handbook (see link below), in particular points 8 and 9 of the individual modules. No additional fees will be charged.
Traineeship abroad with Erasmus+
Erasmus+ worldwide
The University of Bonn funds study-related traineeships as part of the Erasmus+ Programme. Here are the most important points for MSc Global Health Students:
- This is not a requirement for the MSc Global Health degree programme. You have to find and organize the traineeship yourself.
- Erasmus+ traineeships take place in the 12 months following the successful completion of your MSc in Global Health. No ETCS credits are awarded.
- The hosting organization for a traineeship must be located outside of Germany to qualify.
- A traineeship can be funded for 2 to 12 months, and must be full-time (at least 35 hours/ week).
- To be eligible for Erasmus+ funding you must be enrolled when you apply, but deregistered during your traineeship. Apply to the Erasmus coordinator no later than 3 months before successful completion of all degree program requirements.
- Financial support through ERASMUS+ is provided based on availability and eligibility. Contact the ERASMUS+ coordinator for further information and the application.
Qualified Masters and PhD students at a non-European institution of higher education can be admitted for short-term study in Global Health. Only partner institutions having already existing bilateral agreements with the University of Bonn within the program line KA 171 can nominate students. To apply, your home university must nominate you for the Erasmus+ worldwide program at the University of Bonn.
Nomination deadlines:
For winter semester: April 15
For summer semester: October 15
